Honing Process

Vertical and horizontal honing process is executed to create precise holes on cylindrical work piece. This process is effective in enhancing quality of bore geometry by treating error in bore and improving surface finish of specific work piece. The process of honing is preferred over boring and grinding procedures as there is no possibility of material fracture during its honing. This procedure can be executed over large surface areas having abrasive particles. This procedure applies low cutting pressure. Honing Process proves to be advantageous especially for thin walled work pieces as this type of object tends to get deformed easily.
